I was lured to Atticus Market in New Haven with promises of great hot chocolate.

Let’s see.

Hot Chocolate

The texture is thick, which is a plus, but it’s chalky and light on flavor.

This lacks the richness one expects from a really good hot chocolate.

It’s honestly not worth getting.

While here, however, we might as well try some other things.

Chocolate Chip Cookie
Crispy with a heavy brown sugar taste, but the inside is chewy and lacks fullness.

It tends to shatter upon biting, leaving room for improvement in texture.

Overall, not that pleasant.

The Rating: Chocolate Chip Cookie

Breakfast Sandwich
This is a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese with Arugula.

A solid choice with eggs that are slightly underdone, tasty bacon, and adequate cheese.
The addition of arugula in the morning is just not right.

Stop putting arugula on breakfast items!

We do not want bitterness in our breakfast foods!

Anyways, the bun starts off fine but becomes gummy over time.

The Rating: Breakfast Sandwich

Overall, Atticus Market offers a range of options, but each could use a bit of refinement to enhance the overall dining experience.
