Trying to find the best espresso roaster in Connecticut brings us to Redding Roasters in Bethel.

Espresso
This place is very cool.
When I walked in they asked if we were here for something specific.
Telling them no, we got to talking about what type of espresso we like.
Turns, out, not only do they have tons of roasts, they can customize anything!
Meaning, you tell them you like your espresso light and floral with red fruit, they’ll figure it out.
You tell them you like it sour like a lemon drop with lots of bread notes, they’ve got you.
Except, here’s the problem.
It isn’t really espresso.
It’s more like really dark drip coffee.
And those two things are very different.
The Espresso blend #2 is what they thought would be closest to what I would like.
It is burned toast notes, with some cocoa flavors.
Medium bodied, so not as thick as one would normally like.
Here’s the thing, I would bet Redding Roasters is among the best coffee roaster in Connecticut.
For espresso, it’s perfectly fine.
