In downtown Manchester (Connecticut) is a British Pub, let’s check it out.

The menu here is a mix of “classic” British Pub food, as well as more Americanized sandwiches and plates.

We stuck with the British items to see what they had to offer.

Crisps with Pastrami Spice

Potato chips, homemade, with a pastrami spice.

These may only be available when you sit at the bar, but we will see.

The chips, although heavily cooked, fall short of delivering the promised pastrami spice flavor.

They are fine as a side snack but nothing special.

Bangers and Mash

Two sausages served with a generous portion of mashed potatoes, sautéed onions, and a comforting brown gravy.

The sausages are decent, while the onions vary from charred to lightly sautéed.

The highlight is the nostalgic, homey flavor of the gravy, reminiscent of Stouffer’s Salisbury steak.

That’s a good thing. I would take this gravy on just about anything.

Luckily, many of their appetizers have the Brown Gravy on them.

The Rating: Bangers and Mash

Potato Pomms

These mashed potato deep fried balls are salty and cheesy, making them quite enjoyable on their own.

They come with a cheese sauce, however, that is like a beer cheese.

When dipped in that sauce, they are excellent and not to be missed!

The Rating: Potato Poms

What Audacity does well is sauce. Get things with sauce on them, or sauce on the side, or something that comes with sauce. That is what you are looking for. Sauce.
