Plan B Burger Bar has been a go-to spot for many looking for a solid burger and American comfort food. We decided to try a range of items on their menu to see what stands out and what might need some improvement. Their menu changes often, but the best is always there.

Jalapeno Poppers
The jalapeno poppers were undercooked, giving them too much of a raw taste.

However, the filling, which includes chicken and cheese, was decent.

Minimal heat on these.

The Rating: Jalapeno Poppers

6.5/10

Smokehouse Burger
This burger features a lot of beef flavor and a sweet BBQ sauce.

Beef patty, brisket, onion straws, horseradish sauce.

The onion straws taste a bit stale but don’t detract too much from the overall experience.

It’s fine overall.

The Rating: Smokehouse Burger

7/10

American Nachos

These may not even be available anymore.

Homemade chips, cheese sauce, chili, standard toppings.

The chili is solid, and the toppings are nice with a mild spice.

While I normally don’t like cheese sauce nachos except at a stadium, these are actually pretty good.

The Rating: American Nachos

7/10

Blue Cheese Burger
Blue cheese, caramelized onion, bbq sauce.

A nice collection of flavors, though the burger was overcooked.
Still, it was tasty overall.

Not as blue-cheese aggressive as some other places.
The Rating: Blue Cheese Burger

7/10

Pork Taco
Maybe a temporary item, maybe not.

These tacos are for those who really love pork, as they are overstuffed.
The shells aren’t griddled, so they get soggy and break apart quickly.

The flavor of the pork is excellent.
Missing a bit of freshness but still very tasty.

The Rating: Pork Taco

7/10

Chicken Taco
A fried tender in a sweet and sour sauce (chipotle mayo) with corn slaw and pickled onions.

Excellent smoky flavor balanced with sweetness.

If they still have this, one is not to be missed.

The Rating: Chicken Taco

7/10

Rodeo Smash Burger
A combination of pulled pork, double smash patties, BBQ sauce, and frizzled onions.

Essentially, it’s a rodeo burger done right.

It may seem aggressive, and it is. It’s a rodeo burger.

But maybe the best burger of what they offer.

The Rating: Rodeo Smash Burger

7.5/10

Tater Tots
Out of all of the food at Plan B, all of the specialty burgers, the single best thing on the menu may be the simple side dish of tater tots.

These are very well salted and crispy.

Exactly what you want from tater tots.

The Rating: Tater Tots

8/10

Conclusion
Plan B Burger Bar offers a variety of dishes that range from average to very good. The Tater Tots and Rodeo Smash are standouts, while some other items like the Jalapeno Poppers and Southwest Chicken Tacos need a bit of improvement. Overall, it’s a good spot for comfort food and a casual dining experience.
