On the search for the best Indian food in Connecticut brings us to Indigo Indian Bistro in Manchester.
While much of the food here is very good, the Chicken Tikka Masala is an amazing standout.

Chicken samosa
The chicken filling has a heavy anise flavor that is a bit overwhelming.
The dough pockets break apart too easily.
And overall, they are a little dry. Not the best.

Chicken Vindaloo
Chicken and potatoes in a tangy spicy tomato vinegar sauce.
That’s how the menu describes it, and that’s essentially what it is.
Chicken and potatoes stand out. The tomato sauce is very tangy with vinegar.
It is also quite a bit spicy, to the point where it gets a bit overwhelming.
The Rating: Chicken Samosa
6.5/10
Chicken Andrha
this is mostly just spice.
Some fried chicken pieces abed fried vegetables.
The flavor is very nice at first, with an earthy tumeric flavor.
But then the chili takes over, and like the Vindaloo, overwhelms.

The Rating: Chicken Andrha
6.5/10
Tandoori Chicken
Spicy even at mild heat.
This has a nice tight spice flavor.
The heat gets a little numbing, and the chicken could be a little jucier.
But it is good.
The Rating: Tandoori Chicken
7/10
Chicken Tikka Masala
Once you taste this, you are made very happy.
That’s the best way to put it; happy.
The sauce is very sweet, with a heavy cashew and mild tomoato flavor.
It is just absolutely lovely, even if takeout Indian dishes rarely ever look good in photos.
