Lot’s of cider mills in Connecticut, and some make cider donuts. Let’s try them all.
Today, Hogan’s Cider Mill in Burlington.

Cider donut
A very dry and disappointing cider donut.
The flavor is the weirdest blend of apple and banana bread I’ve ever tasted.
That, with way too much cinnamon.
Cinnamon plus dry dough leads to an even drier experience (remember the cinnamon challenge?).
The flavor of the inner cake is fine and tastes like fresh apples.
Meaning, a little under spiced.
The shell, which is fine, is where the banana bread flavor must come from.
Overall, a dry and weird experience.
