Hot Dog with Chili, Cheese, Hot Peppers, and Spicy Relish
The real reason we are here, the hot dog.
The hot dog here is thin and a little soggy.
There are grill marks on it, but the skin isn’t great.
The flavor of the dog is good, but nothing great.
The bun is grilled, which is nice, but that’s about it.
The bun doesn’t add any flavor to the whole experience.
On it’s own, the hot dog (plain) is good (6/10).
But once we get to the toppings, things change.
The hot peppers are actually overwhelming, so I’d steer clear of those.
The cheese is just stadium nacho-cheese sauce.
The chili isn’t great, mostly plain with a little capsaicin heat.
The real star toppings-wise is the spicy relish; it is excellent (8/10) and goes well on literally any dog.
So how are the dogs overall at Doogie’s?
Provided you are adding that amazing spicy relish, you can get away with anything.
