Super active on social media, especially their nearly daily instagram updates about specials, I had to try Taco Bachi in Brookfield on the search for the best tacos in Connecticut.
There is a serious issue here.
You cannot buy one taco at a time; they come in big platters of 3.
This is seriously limiting for anyone’s ability to try what a place has to offer.
Being constrained to only one taco (my appetite could not support so many more), I opted for the go-to option of pastor tacos.
Al Pastor tacos
First, the shells are homemade. They are absolutely incredible.
Normally, shells can be at best a vehicle and at worst detract.
These enhance the whole taco.
The meat is tender, with a deep flavor and little to no heat.
The Abuela’s salsa has an intense smokiness and heat (chipotle?) that complements the whole things wonderfully.
I will be back.
